Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev claimed his maiden championship for 882 days with success over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has had a difficult year, managing just a single victory at the major tournaments and undergoing a setback at the American major.
The player's varied form on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in specific - caused him falling of the top ten and eventually parting ways with long-term coach his previous coach.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's initial title since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt since that period of that year.
Victory also means Medvedev has secured 21 victories at twenty-one different competitions.
"It's the first time I have attended a competition with my two daughters at once, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," stated tennis professional Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the initial championship I got when my child her name was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament previously this season.
His retrieving play style and regular reactions on the playing surface had caused observers to doubt if his skill to play at the elite level was concluded.
But the athlete has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and play positively, supported by an improved serving game.
He came back from a break down in the initial set against the challenging Moutet, taking 4 of the final five games to go ahead.
The pair exchanged service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his first professional title, gained dominance to create a third set.
Moutet saved four early chances in a competitive deciding set before Medvedev broke to 15 to serve for the match.
Suitably, he secured victory with a point at the front of the court, with his opponent incapable to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
